Have you go Wanderlust?
See results without votingFor a long time I've wondered if I have condition, is something wrong with me? Why do I have itchy feet when I'm in my own county? Even if I've got my next vacation planned, it just is never enough. Today is a momentus day, as today I found out that I'm not crazy or alone for that matter. There is a very clear name for my condition, meaning that before me, other people have experienced these symptoms. What I've got is Wanderlust! Have you got it to?
Wanderlust is the word used to describe someone who has "a strong desire for or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world" [Oxford Dictionaries online]. It originates from the German language.
So now I'm excited; there's a website dedicated to this: http://www.wanderlust.co.uk/
This website has some great information for someone with the condition. In fact, it will help feed their appetite and assure them that they are not alone. One word of warning though, it may increase the symptoms.
I recommend that the first thing a wanderlust sufferer should do is get a passport. This is the only possible attempt at a cure. They then need to decide where they plan to use it. This might be rather difficult, it won't be easy. You can't go everywhere at once. It may also be difficult for family members, particularly those that bid you farewell at the airport. They must understand though that you will return a better person. There is no guarantee however that you will be cured or that it will ever go away. The best advice is to not fight; just go with it.

The travel bug is eating me alive. HELP! Good to know we're not alone. Is there a cure for the travel bug that doesn't include a passport?
